Breast Lift with Implants in Beverly Hills
Combining Breast Lift & Augmentation
Simply Breasts knows that the primary reason women choose breast augmentation is to improve the appearance of their breasts. In some cases, however, just adding volume is not the right solution for a more aesthetic look. In women whose breasts have fallen significantly or a condition that is sometimes called ptosis, implants may not be sufficient to bring the breasts up higher on the body. In fact, the additional volume from the implants may even exaggerate the appearance of drooping. For these women, combining breast augmentation along with a breast lift can be the ideal solution to deliver higher, fuller and firmer breasts.*

The female body goes through a lot of changes in the course of a lifetime. Many of these changes are reflected in the appearance of the breasts. Nursing, pregnancy, and weight gain or weight loss are all major contributors when it comes to the look and feel of your breasts. The skin and tissue of your breasts expand to accommodate additional fat deposits or milk production and size shifts due to hormonal changes. Sometimes, the breasts may return to normal but other times, the breasts may never regain their former placement and firmness.
It is not uncommon for the breasts to take on a saggy, deflated appearance following pregnancy, nursing or weight changes. Adding volume with an implant adds more definition to the breast but a separate procedure is needed to relocate the nipples higher and more centrally on the breast, as well as shift your breasts higher. This is where a breast lift comes in.
By combining a breast lift with your breast augmentation, you gain volume as well as enjoy improvedplacement of the breasts and nipples. You can also choose to have a breast lift on its own, which will enhance the shape and appearance of your breast without the addition of artificial implants.* A breast lift can be included with a breast reduction as well.
Our breast implant surgeons will measure your breast and torso before your breast lift to determine how much tissue should be lifted. Next, our surgeons focus on elevating the nipple to create a shapelier, higher breast. The incisions are made to preserve the integrity of nerve function and blood supply, and the nipples are moved more centrally on the breast. If necessary, the size of the nipples can be reduced at this time as well.
Internally, your existing breast tissue is reshaped into an improved aesthetic and an implant pocket will be created. Implants may be placed below the glandular tissue alone or beneath both the muscles and the glandular tissue, depending on your appearance goals or any personal preference you and your surgeon may have.
Our surgeons use the most modern surgical techniques available today, offering methods that limit incisions to either just around the areola or a periareolar incision where the scar is hidden in the darker pigmentation around the nipple or a combination of a periareolar incision and a vertical incision down the breast center. This combination results in what is usually called a “lollipop scar.”
All incisions will be closed using a special layering technique to minimize visible scarring as much as possible. Breast lifts may also incorporate the use of liposuction to further sculpt the shape of the breast.
Recovering from Your Breast Lift with Augmentation
Your Beverly Hills breast surgeon will apply a comfortable, supportive bandage following your procedure, which should be worn for the first 48 hours after surgery. A small drain may also be incorporated to help you feel more comfortable and decrease swelling more rapidly. Additional support from a comfortable bra to help prevent any sagging is also recommended following your surgery.
You should plan on taking it easy for the first few days following your procedure, although most of our patients find that they are able to return back to work after a week or two. Initial swelling should dissipate within the first two weeks as well, with continued improvements over the following few months.
The final results of your combined breast lift and augmentation will be fuller, shapelier breasts that feel and look firmer and perkier than before your surgery.*
